A Tiny Marine Grade Stainless Steel Bracket Spotlight

The LuxR Modux 2 Bracket Mount is a very small low voltage spotlight on a stiff metal bracket. Fix it to any surface with a 4mm diameter screw, then aim the head where you want the light. The body is 41mm across and 65mm long, so it stays discreet.

Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel

This version is precision machined from marine grade 316 stainless steel, a tough, corrosion resistant finish that suits wet, coastal and exposed sites. It keeps its clean silver look with very little care. The light source is a 2 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus, and the fitting is rated IP68 and submersible up to 9m.

Choose Your Beam, Colour and Lens

• Beam: 26º is a narrow beam for picking out a single feature, 36º is a medium beam, and 74º is a wide beam for a broader wash.
• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
• Lens: clear gives the sharpest beam, while frosted softens the edges of the light.

How It Works

Fix the bracket, then angle the head towards your subject. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it on walls, posts and pergolas near the coast, pools or anywhere that gets a lot of weather. The stainless finish pairs well with modern architecture and glass. The same design is also available in M1 and M4.

How do I fix the bracket mount?

The bracket fixes to any surface with a 4mm diameter screw. The head can then be angled to aim the light.

Does it come with a driver?

No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.

Is stainless steel a good choice near the sea?

This version is marine grade 316 stainless steel, which is chosen for wet and coastal conditions.
