The Lighthouse Flat Bollard Light is a commercial grade aluminium bollard with a flat topped head, built to mark out paths, driveways and sectioned areas night after night without fuss.

Choosing your height and mount

Lighthouse is available at 0.4m, 0.6m, 0.8m or 1.0m tall. The 0.4m size is surface mounted only, bolting straight onto a hard surface, while 0.6m, 0.8m and 1.0m are also offered as a Root Mounted version with a longer buried body set into concrete for a more permanent, tamper resistant fixing. Every height can also be specified with a Photocell option, which switches the light on automatically at dusk instead of relying on a separate timer or switch.

How it works

Light comes from a single E27 lamp, sold separately, housed behind a clear UV stable polycarbonate diffuser. Internal silver aluminium louvres sit around the lamp to cut glare and shield it from knocks. The body is a 2.5mm thick extruded aluminium cylinder finished in graphite black, fixed with stainless steel screws and secured with pin hex security screws and an Allen key kit, so the fitting is not easily tampered with once installed.

Where it works best

Spaced roughly 3 to 5m apart when fitted with a 15W corn lamp, Lighthouse gives even, low glare coverage along drives, footpaths and split level gardens. The Root Mounted option suits areas needing extra security against knocks or interference, while Surface Mounted is the simpler choice for patios and existing hard landscaping.

Questions people ask

Does it come with a bulb?
No, Lighthouse takes a single E27 bulb which is sold separately, giving you the choice of wattage and colour temperature.

What is the difference between Surface Mounted and Root Mounted?
Surface Mounted bolts down onto an existing hard surface using the base plate, while Root Mounted has a longer body designed to be set into concrete below ground for a more secure, permanent fixing.

What does the Photocell option do?
A Photocell option automatically switches the light on as it gets dark and off again at daybreak, so you do not need a separate timer or switch.
