Built from heavy duty die cast aluminium, the Lighthouse Dome brings a distinctive domed head to paths, driveways and sectioned areas that need to look good and stand up to daily use. The graphite black finish and rustproof construction mean it is as much at home outside a business as it is along a private drive.

Choosing your height, mount and photocell

Start with height, from a low 400mm up to a full 1000mm, depending on how much presence you want along the path. Next, decide on mounting: surface mounted suits a straightforward fix to an existing hard surface, while root mounted has a longer body designed to be set into concrete for extra security. Finally, add the dusk to dawn photocell option if you want the light to switch on automatically as it gets dark, rather than being controlled manually or by an external timer.

How it works

A 2.5mm thick extruded aluminium cylinder forms the body, with stainless steel screws throughout to resist corrosion outdoors. The clear UV stop polycarbonate diffuser spreads light evenly, while internal aluminium louvres shield the lamp and cut glare from the side. It takes a single E27 lamp, not supplied. For even coverage along a run, space posts around 3m to 5m apart when using a 15W corn lamp. Security screws and an allen key are included to help deter tampering.

Where it works best

The domed head gives a softer profile than the pillar or flat top versions in the same Lighthouse range, so it suits settings where you want a slightly more traditional look alongside the same commercial grade build, from driveways and paths to sectioned car parking or amenity areas.
