The Light Symphony 4 Channel Starter Kit pairs a four channel lighting controller with a four zone key fob. It is a starting point for a garden where the lighting needs several distinct groups, rather than a single overall switch.

A terrace, pathway, planting border and focal tree could each have their own circuit. Keeping those groups separate allows you to light the parts you are using and change the evening scene without altering the installation.

What Comes in the Kit

The listed kit contains the 4 channel lighting controller and a 4 zone key fob. The controller is rated at 500W per channel, with smooth on and off operation available for suitable lighting.

The control equipment is only one part of the scheme. Garden light fittings, cabling and any required LED drivers are chosen to suit the design and are not part of this controller and handset package.

How the System Works

The key fob sends wireless commands to the controller, which operates the circuits wired to its outputs. The controller still requires a mains supply and professional electrical connections.

The kit's key fob range is stated at up to 350 metres with clear line of sight. Actual coverage depends on the surroundings, so check it where the handset will normally be used.

For dimming, the connected lamps and drivers must be compatible with the supplied controller. Plan switched and dimmable loads carefully instead of assuming every type of garden fitting can be faded.

Where Four Channels Make a Difference

A larger garden often has lighting that serves different purposes. Circulation lighting may need to remain useful while decorative planting lights create the view from the house. Separate circuits let the design accommodate both.

The four channel kit also suits a project that is being installed in one main phase, where the intended lighting groups are already known. If only two independent groups are needed, the 2 Channel Starter Kit may be the more appropriate layout.

Build on the Handheld System

The kit can form part of an expandable Light Symphony installation. Additional controllers and compatible sensors can be added when the scheme requires them.
