The Pimlico Medium Sealed Flush Fitting is a rounded, sculptural glass dome that mounts close to the surface, whether that is a ceiling or a wall. Its hand blown shade catches light from every angle, throwing a soft, textured glow rather than one hard beam. Because it is a sealed fitting, it works equally well in busy hallways, bedrooms, or rooms that see a bit of steam.

Choose Your Finish

This fitting ships in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen when you order. These photos show it in the ribbed, swirling glass pictured in the main image, fitted with the warm polished brass metalwork shown, but Leverint blows the same Pimlico shade in fine ribbed, opaque white, ribbed twist, and fine ribbed twist glass too. The metalwork is also available in brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel, or satin nickel, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme.

How It Works

Inside the glass dome sits a single G9 bulb, up to 1.5W, which is not supplied as standard so you can pick the colour temperature you prefer. It is mains dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb. It measures 200mm in diameter and, per Leverint's own technical drawing, projects around 65mm off the wall or ceiling once fitted. The glass dome is fully sealed around the light source, which is what gives it its IP44 rating. We recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its soft, ambient glow suits everyday living spaces such as living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms, and hallways, anywhere you want gentle general light rather than one strong source. Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where every Pimlico shade is shaped by a glassblower rather than cast from a mould, so no two are ever quite identical. The studio says it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons, and its founders, Andrew Print, John Leveridge, and Lee Rowland, bring decades of combined lighting design and glass artistry to each piece. That craft is what gives this shade its depth and its glow.
