A Teardrop Silhouette on a Fixed Rod

The Kingston Small Sealed Rod Pendant takes its name from its rounded, teardrop shaped shade, blown by hand and set on a slim, fixed rod rather than hung from a flex cable. That fixed rod gives it a cleaner, more architectural line, which is why it works so well spaced along a run over a kitchen island or gathered into a multi pendant cluster. The shade narrows at the neck and swells into a full, rounded body, so the light it casts is soft and diffused rather than a hard point source.

Choose Your Finish

This pendant ships in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen when you order. The photos here show it in a twisted, ribbed clear glass on a polished brass rod, but Leverint blows the same teardrop shade in ribbed, fine ribbed, opaque white and fine ribbed twist glass too, and plates the rod and ceiling plate in brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel or satin nickel as well as polished brass, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme.

How It Works

Each Kingston Small takes a single G9 bulb, 1.5W max, which is not supplied so you can choose the exact tone and brightness you want. It is mains dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and bulb. The glass shade is sealed onto its rod rather than hung on a flex, and it comes with a 1m rod as standard, with bespoke lengths available on request if you are hanging several at staggered heights. As with all Leverint fittings, we recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Its compact 140mm shade makes the Kingston Small an easy fit for living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways, whether that is a single pendant over a console table or several spaced along a kitchen island or staircase. Made By Leverint

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where glassblowers shape every shade individually rather than casting it from a mould. The studio says it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons, and its founders, Andrew Print, John Leveridge and Lee Rowland, bring decades of combined lighting design and glass artistry to the range. That hands on process is why no two Kingston shades come out quite identical.
