A Teardrop of Hand Blown Glass

The Kingston Deco Wall Light takes a simple teardrop silhouette and gives it real presence, with a swirl of spiralling ribs pressed into the glass as it was blown. Mounted on a short, square edged wall bracket, the shade sits low and close to the wall, throwing a soft pool of light down and out rather than a hard beam. It works equally well as a single fitting either side of a mirror or run in pairs along a hallway.

This fitting ships in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen when you order. On this page, the glass comes in Ribbed, Fine Ribbed, Opaque White, Ribbed Twist and Fine Ribbed Twist, and the metalwork in Polished Brass, Brushed Brass, Weathered Brass, Bronze, Polished Nickel and Satin Nickel. Our photos show the teardrop shade in its swirled ribbed clear glass, pictured on both polished nickel and polished brass metalwork, but Leverint blows the same shade by hand in every glass option listed above and plates the bracket in any of the metal tones, so you can match it to the rest of your fittings.

How It Works

The Kingston Deco Wall Light takes a single G9 bulb, 4W maximum, which is not included so you can fit the warmth and brightness you prefer. It is mains dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and bulb. The shade measures 220mm high and 160mm wide, and the bracket projects around 40mm off the wall, so it sits close and neat rather than jutting out. As with all our lighting, we recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Its compact size and directional glow suit living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways alike, whether that is either side of a bed as a soft reading light, flanking a kitchen splashback, or spaced along a hallway wall. Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where every shade is shaped by hand rather than cast from a mould.
