The Charlton Deco wall light takes its cue from art deco design, wrapping a softly rounded, capsule shaped glass shade around a single bulb and setting it on a compact wall bracket. The shade curves gently at both ends, giving it a smooth, pill like profile that reads as sculptural rather than purely functional, so it works as a feature in its own right rather than just a light source.

This wall light ships in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen when you order. These photos show it in ribbed twist glass on a polished brass finish, but Leverint blows the same shade in ribbed, fine ribbed, opaque white and fine ribbed twist glass too, and plates it in brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel and satin nickel, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme.

How It Works

Inside the glass sits a single G9 bulb, 4W maximum, which is not supplied as standard so you can choose the warmth and brightness that suits the room. The light is mains dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb. It stands 225mm tall and projects 140mm from the wall on its plated bracket. We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its soft, ambient glow suits living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms where you want gentle wall mounted light rather than a bright overhead source, and it works just as well in a hallway or as a warm accent in the kitchen. Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where every shade is shaped by hand rather than cast from a mould. The studio says it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company G Farley and Sons, and its founders, Andrew Print, John Leveridge and Lee Rowland, bring decades of combined lighting design and glass artistry to each piece they make.
