A Single Bathroom Wall Light With A Vintage Glass Shade
The Kichler Talland Single Bathroom Wall Light is the simplest way to bring the Talland look to a room. One bell shaped shade of clear, ridged glass hangs from a squared chrome arm on a round back plate. The glass takes after the insulators that once topped telegraph poles in the early and mid 1900s, a shape that turns out to be very pretty as a light shade.
Polished Chrome Finish
This single light is finished in polished chrome. It is bright and clean, with a smooth, mirror like surface on the round back plate and the arm, and it keeps its good looks beside chrome taps and glass shelves. The ridged glass band around the shade catches the light, and a beaded rim on the bottom edge adds a finishing touch.
How It Works
- One G9 lamp holder, suited to a 3.5W LED bulb (bulb not supplied)
- Works with a dimmer if you choose a dimmable LED bulb
- Steel and glass construction on a 12.7cm round back plate
- Fixes flat to the wall
- Rated IP44, so it is protected against splashing water
- Class I electrical fitting, which needs an earth connection
Where It Works Best
One light is perfect as a pair either side of a bathroom mirror, which gives even light for shaving and make up. It also suits a cloakroom, a small en suite, a hallway or a bedside wall. Because it is small, it works where space is limited and a longer bar would not fit.
Made By Kichler
Kichler has made lighting since 1938, when Leonard Kichler began the business in Cleveland, Ohio. It is now based in Solon, Ohio. The Talland family, with its period glass and tidy chrome, shows how the brand keeps traditional shapes relevant to current homes.

Questions People Ask
How much room does it need?
The back plate is 12.7cm across and the whole light projects 17.5cm from the wall, so it is a very compact fitting.
Is a single light enough for a bathroom?
One light is fine for a small washroom, but for a mirror it is usually best to fit two, one on each side, for even light.
Which bulb does it take?
One G9 bulb. The specification gives a 3.5W LED, and a dimmable one lets you lower the light.
Is it the same style as the larger Talland lights?
Yes. The shade and arm are the same as on the two light and three light versions, in the same polished chrome.
