A Long Crystal Pendant Rated for Bathroom Use
The Kichler Crystal Skye 12 Light Bathroom Island Pendant is a long, oval pendant ringed by tall, clear crystal prisms. Below the prisms, a chrome base plate is studded with small faceted crystals, so light sparkles from underneath as well as from the sides. Hung on fine cables, it floats like a piece of jewellery over a bath or a long table.
Chrome Finish
The metalwork is bright polished chrome, which is reflective and cool in tone and echoes the clear crystal rather than competing with it. You can see it in the base plate, the little clips at the top and bottom of each prism, and the ceiling plate. It fits with chrome taps and mirrors and with clean, modern bathroom fittings.
How It Works
- Twelve G9 lamp holders, suited to 3W LED bulbs (not supplied)
- Dimmable when you use dimmable G9 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer
- Crystal prisms around an oval chrome frame, hung from cables
- Overall height adjusts from 30.5cm to 199.3cm
- Rated IP44, so it is protected against splashing water
- Class I electrical fitting, which needs an earth connection
Where It Works Best
The IP44 rating and the long shape make it a natural choice for a large bathroom, particularly over a freestanding bath or in a spa style room. It is just as at home over a dining table or kitchen island, where the length gives an even spread of light along the whole run. A high ceiling gives you room to use the longer drop.
