Extra Stability in Loose Soil
The Hunza Super Spike is a multi purpose ground spike that adds significant stability when mounting Hunza exterior lighting in loose or sandy soil. The full length spike is 300mm, and a 150mm Mini Spike version is made for firmer ground where the extra length is not needed.
What You Get
- Supplied as a kit. The 25mm spike has two snap in adaptors, a 1/2 inch NPS female adaptor and a 25mm adaptor, so it suits luminaires with a 1/2 inch NPS thread or a 25mm diameter pole.
- The spike is made from black UV stable glass filled polypropylene, and the snap in inserts are moulded from black UV stable polycarbonate.
- The dome at the top has a cavity for the cable connection.
- Hunza lists it as suitable for aluminium, copper and 316 stainless steel luminaires.
Choosing the Right Spike
- For a 25mm pole or a 1/2 inch NPS thread, choose the 25mm Super Spike. The variants marked for NPS fittings only are for the screw thread type.
- For a luminaire with a 38mm diameter pole, choose the 38mm Super Spike. Its adaptor lets the 38mm pole fit over the top.
