A fixed spotlight finished to match your planting or hard landscaping
The Hunza Spike Spot Non-Adjustable is a ground spike spotlight that pushes straight into a border, lawn edge or planting bed rather than needing a wall or post to mount to. This is the fixed head version, so the angle is set once at installation and doesn't move after that. This low voltage model comes in Hunza's powder coated aluminium finish.
The powder coated finish
Colour is baked onto the aluminium rather than sprayed on as wet paint, giving a harder, more even matt surface that copes well outdoors. There are seven shades: Black, Bronze, Dark Grey, Olive Green, Silver Star, White and White Birch. Black and Bronze are Hunza's standard colours and the quickest to ship; the other five are made to order. Because screens and print can't show colour perfectly, treat these as a general guide and request a swatch if you want to check a shade before ordering.
How it works
You push the 145mm spike into the ground and angle the body where you want the light to fall. There's no moving head to loosen or reset later, which suits a spot where the aim won't need to change. The fitting is 63.5mm in diameter and 75mm long, supplied with a 1m cable. It isn't supplied with a bulb, and to keep the IP66 rating and warranty valid it needs a Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp, sold separately. Being low voltage, it also needs a transformer, sold separately. The same fitting is available as a GU10 mains version if you'd rather avoid a transformer.
Where it works best
Good anywhere you want a single point of accent light and already know exactly where it needs to be aimed: a fixed feature, a doorway, or a spot where the planting around it isn't going to change shape much year to year. Choosing a powder coat colour close to the surrounding wall, fence or planting helps the fitting disappear into the background by day.

- Returns: Black and Bronze can be returned within 14 days of delivery if unused, uninstalled and in original packaging. Dark Grey, Olive Green, Silver Star, White and White Birch are made to order colours and are final sale unless the item arrives faulty or damaged.

Questions People Ask
Which colours can I return if I change my mind?
Only Black and Bronze, within 14 days if the fitting is unused and still in its original packaging. The other five shades are made to order and are final sale unless something arrives faulty or damaged, so it's worth getting a swatch first.
Can I change the angle once it's installed?
No, this is the fixed head version. Decide on the angle when you install it. Hunza also makes an adjustable version of the Spike Spot if you need to change the aim later.
What bulb does it need?
A Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp, bought separately. A different lamp can affect the IP66 rating and will invalidate the warranty.
Does it need a transformer?
Yes, as a low voltage fitting it needs a transformer to run, which isn't included.
Is there a mains version?
Yes, the same fitting in the same colour range is also available as a GU10 mains version, which doesn't need a transformer.
