A Brighter Tilting Light Built for the Coast
The Hunza Pure LED Tilting Eave Light 6W in 316 marine grade stainless steel is a recessed downlight with a movable head and a brighter 6 watt LED, built to withstand salt air while still letting you aim the beam precisely.
316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel
- The visible face is genuine solid 316 stainless steel, not a plated finish.
- A light surface tarnish can appear on stainless steel in some environments, and washing it occasionally with fresh water keeps the finish clean by the coast.
- The brushed look matches from one fitting to the next along a run.
How It Works
- The eyeball head turns through 360 degrees and tilts by about 25 degrees, in contrast to Hunza's fixed Eave Light range.
- An integrated Cree LED chip is rated at 600 lumens from 6 watts, with a CRI of 90+ at 3000K.
- You can specify a colour temperature of 2200K to 4000K and a beam angle from 15 to 60 degrees.
- The body is 60mm long overall with a 40mm recessed section, an 88mm flange lip and a 72mm cut out, and it comes with 1m of cable.
- Low voltage wiring in series means a remote driver is needed, and it is sold separately.
- With an IP66 rating, it dims when a suitable dimmable driver is used. A 3W version is available if you want a more compact accent.
Where It Works Best
- Coastal properties, where 316 stainless steel resists salt corrosion better than most metals.
- Gable ends and taller feature walls where a stronger beam is needed to reach the target properly.
- Pergolas, verandas and covered decks needing a brighter, adjustable and low maintenance accent light.
From Plan to Installation
Moonlight Design has been working with Hunza since 2003, planning lighting schemes for gardens, supplying Hunza fittings and installing them. Stainless steel 6W tilting fittings are a common choice for coastal customers highlighting taller architectural features, where corrosion resistance and beam strength both matter. Our Design Service page carries photographs of our own completed schemes and shows how we plan, draw up and install them with NICEIC registered electricians. Pay it a visit to see the process from first sketch to finished lighting.
Good to Know
- Shipping typically takes 2 to 3 days. Allow 3 to 5 weeks if your specification is out of stock.
- If the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging, you can return it within 14 days.
- The LED chip is integrated and Cree branded, with the option to replace it if it fails, so no lamp is required.
- A compatible remote driver is needed, and one is not included.
- Fitting warranty is 10 years, with 5 years on the LED.
- It is best installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
- In coastal or exposed locations, wash the face with fresh water occasionally to stop surface tarnish.
Questions People Ask
Can this cope with sea air?
Yes. 316 is the marine grade of stainless steel and suits salt exposed locations.
What does the 6W offer over the 3W tilting model?
The 6W gives 600 lumens against 200, so it suits taller features or places that need more brightness.
Can the beam be aimed?
Yes. The head turns through 360 degrees and tips by around 25 degrees.
Is a transformer required?
No. It needs a compatible remote driver, which is sold separately.
