The Hunza Pure LED Tilting Eave Light 3W in 316 marine grade stainless steel is a compact recessed downlight with a movable head, built to cope with salt air while letting you aim the beam exactly where it is needed.
316 marine grade stainless steel
- The visible face is genuine solid 316 stainless steel, not a plated or coated finish.
- Stainless steel can develop a light surface tarnish in some environments. Washing occasionally with fresh water keeps it looking its best near the coast.
- The brushed finish stays consistent across multiple fittings on the same run.
How it works
- Unlike the fixed Eave Light range, this fitting has a tilting eyeball head that rotates a full 360 degrees and adjusts through around 25 degrees of tilt, so the beam can be angled onto a wall or feature rather than pointing straight down.
- The integrated Cree LED chip is rated at 200 lumens from 3 watts, with a CRI of 90+ at 3000K.
- Colour temperature can be specified from 2200K to 4000K, and beam angle from 15 to 45 degrees.
- It is a compact fitting, 47mm in total length with a 25mm recessed body, a 62mm flange lip and a 50mm cutout, supplied with a 1 metre cable.
- This is a low voltage fitting wired in series, needing a compatible remote driver, sold separately, rather than a transformer.
- It is IP66 rated and dimmable if a suitable dimmable driver is used. A 6W version is also available for a brighter or wider beam.
Where it works best
- Coastal properties, where 316 stainless steel resists salt corrosion better than most metals.
- Gable ends and angled soffits where a fixed downlight cannot be aimed correctly.
- Pergolas, garden rooms and covered decks where a small, adjustable, low maintenance accent light is needed.
Our experience with Hunza
Moonlight Design has supplied Hunza's outdoor range since 2003. Stainless steel tilting fittings are a regular choice for coastal customers who want to highlight a specific feature and need a finish that will not corrode.
Good to know
- Usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns are accepted within 14 days provided the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- The LED chip is integrated and Cree branded, replaceable if it ever fails, so there is no separate lamp to buy.
- A compatible remote driver is required and is not included.
- Warranty is 10 years on the fitting and 5 years on the LED.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
- Wash occasionally with fresh water in coastal or exposed locations to prevent surface tarnish.
Questions people ask
- Is this suitable for a coastal property? Yes, 316 is the marine grade of stainless steel, well suited to salt exposed locations.
- Can the beam be aimed rather than pointing straight down? Yes, this tilting version rotates 360 degrees and tilts around 25 degrees.
- What is the difference between the 3W and 6W versions? The 3W gives 200 lumens for smaller accent jobs, the 6W gives 600 lumens for a brighter or wider beam.
- Does this need a transformer? It needs a compatible remote driver rather than a standard transformer, sold separately.
