A Compact Tilting Downlight for Salt Air
The Hunza Pure LED Tilting Eave Light 3W in 316 marine grade stainless steel is a small recessed downlight whose head can be turned and tipped, so you decide exactly where the beam lands. It is made for exposed coastal positions.
316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel
- The visible face is solid 316 stainless steel with an electropolished flange rather than a plated or coated finish.
- 316 is the grade Hunza uses for its stainless steel range because of its high level of corrosion resistance.
- The 25mm body is anodised aluminium, and the stainless steel flange gives a 10 year warranty.
How It Works
- The head spins through a full 360 degrees and tilts by 30 degrees from the centre, so light can be angled onto a wall or feature instead of dropping straight down, which a fixed Eave Light cannot do.
- A built in Cree XPG3 LED board, plug and play and field replaceable, delivers 200 lumens from 3 watts at 1050mA, with a CRI of 90+ at 3000K and a rated life of 50,000 hours to L70.
- Choose a colour temperature from 2200K to 4000K and a beam angle of 15, 25 or 45 degrees.
- Overall length is 47mm, with a 25mm diameter recessed body, a 62mm flange lip and a 50mm cut out, and 1m of cable is supplied.
- It fits through a 50mm hole and is held in place by two spring clips.
- Low voltage and wired in series, so it needs a remote constant current driver, sold separately, not a standard transformer. Each fitting needs 3V at up to 1050mA.
- IP66 rated, and dimmable with a suitable dimmable driver. A 6W version is also made for a brighter or wider beam.
- The warranty is 10 years on the stainless steel and 5 years on the electronics and LED.

- Returns are accepted within 14 days provided the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- The Cree LED board is built in and can be replaced in the field if it ever fails, so there is no lamp to buy.
- A compatible remote driver is required and is not included.
- The warranty is 10 years on the fitting and 5 years on the LED.

Is this suitable for a coastal property?
Yes. 316 is the marine grade of stainless steel and is well suited to salt exposed locations.
Can I angle the beam rather than aim it straight down?
