The Hunza SLIM Recessed Path Light 4 Facet has four windows spaced evenly all the way around the fitting, giving full 360 degree coverage from a single point. Like the rest of the SLIM range its recessed body needs only 14.8mm of depth, roughly a third of a standard Path Light body, so it fits decking, thin paving and masonry that a deeper fitting could never sit into.
Solid 316 Stainless Steel, Built to Last
This variant's visible flange is CNC machined from a solid 316 marine grade stainless steel rod, not a plated or coated finish. It keeps a consistent brushed, silvery look outdoors for years without darkening or staining, and the 316 grade is the same standard used in coastal and marine fittings, so it copes well with salt air. Below the flange, the fitting sits inside a separate aluminium installation canister, which houses the wiring connection safely below ground while the stainless steel does the visible work above the surface.
How It Works
- Recessed body 64mm diameter, only 14.8mm deep, with an 88mm diameter, 20mm deep flange on top
- Four facet windows spaced evenly around the fitting, together giving a full 360 degree spread of light in every direction
- Custom TIR borosilicate glass lenses shed dirt, mud, grass clippings and water, backed by an IP66 rating
- Integrated Cree replaceable LED chip, delivering 120 lumens from 2 watts with a CRI of 90+
- Available in a choice of colour temperatures from a warm 2200K up to a cooler 4000K
- Supplied with 1 metre of cable
- Low voltage, wired in series with a remote constant current driver, which is required but not supplied
- 10 year warranty on the stainless steel body, 5 years on the LED electronics
Where It Works Best
- A true meeting point where several paths converge, such as the centre of a courtyard, a roundabout planting bed or a crossroads in a larger garden
- Decking boards and thin paving too shallow for a standard Path Light canister
- Retrofitting existing paths or patios where a deeper recess is not practical
- Coastal gardens, where the 316 grade stainless steel resists salt air corrosion
Our Own Installations
The in situ photographs on this page are Moonlight Design's own designs and installations, not stock imagery. They show real driveways, paths and courtyards we have lit using recessed Hunza Path Lights, including a gravel driveway loop, a curved kerb edge at dusk and a herringbone brick drive lit by a run of ground lights along the paving and steps. None of these photographs are close enough to show this particular stainless steel finish in detail, but they show exactly the kind of scheme this fitting is designed for.

Questions People Ask
Why choose the SLIM version instead of the standard Hunza Path Light?
The standard Path Light needs a deeper canister to install. The SLIM body needs only 14.8mm of depth, which makes it the right choice for decking, thin paving or masonry, and retrofit projects where a standard body would not physically fit.
Why choose 4 Facet rather than 1, 2 or 3?
4 Facet is the only version in the range that gives a full 360 degree spread, with four windows spaced evenly all the way around. It suits a genuine meeting point where paths approach from every side. The 1, 2 and 3 Facet versions are better suited to a single edge, a wide expanse, a through path or a three way junction.
Does the stainless steel finish need any maintenance?
No. Unlike copper, 316 stainless steel does not develop a patina and keeps its brushed appearance with only occasional cleaning.
Can this fitting be walked on?
Yes, once correctly installed it is designed to be set flush into paths, decks and paving. It is not recommended for areas driven over by vehicles.
