A High Output Spotlight in Any Pole Spot Colour
This PureLED version brings the 600 lumen factory fitted Cree LED chip together with the full seven colour range of the powder coated Pole Spot, so higher output does not mean giving up a choice of finish.
Powder Coated Aluminium
The body is finished in durable powder coated aluminium, available in seven colours: matt black, matt bronze, matt white, matt dark grey, matt olive green, matt white birch and matt silver star.
How It Works
- The integrated Cree LED chip is field replaceable, outputting 600 lumens at 6 watts, with a CRI of 90 or above at 3000K.
- Wired in series through a remote driver, and dimmable if a suitable dimmable driver is used.
- Choose your beam angle, 15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees, and colour temperature, 2200K to 4000K, at the point of purchase.
- Rated IP56/IP66, and backed by a 5 year warranty.
Where It Works Best
The higher output suits larger trees, taller architectural features or facades that would look underlit by a standard MR16 Pole Spot, in any of the seven available colours.
The photographs on this page are all taken from Moonlight Design's own projects, including a Pole Spot installed in a garden border uplighting shrubs and planting, showing the quality of light this fitting actually produces once installed.
Designed and Made in New Zealand
Hunza has designed and hand assembled outdoor lighting in Auckland, New Zealand for over 30 years, according to the brand, and the PureLED range extends that same build quality into a serviceable, high output fitting.
Good to Know
- The Cree LED chip is built in, so there is no separate bulb to buy.
- Requires a suitable dimmable low voltage driver to dim. Without one, it will run at fixed output.
- Colours shown are for guidance only. Physical colour swatches are available on request.
- Moonlight Design recommends that all outdoor lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Questions People Ask
What colour options are available?
Seven finishes: matt black, matt bronze, matt white, matt dark grey, matt olive green, matt white birch and matt silver star.
How much brighter is this than the standard Pole Spot?
This version outputs 600 lumens from a factory fitted Cree LED chip, considerably more than the standard Pole Spot, which relies on whichever MR16 bulb you choose to fit.
Can this Pole Spot be dimmed?
Yes, when it is wired to a suitable dimmable low voltage driver. Without one it will operate at a fixed output.
Why is the warranty shorter than the steel or copper PureLED Pole Spot?
Powder coated aluminium is more susceptible to long term weathering than solid copper or marine grade steel, which is reflected in a 5 year warranty here against 10 years on those versions.
Is it suitable for permanent outdoor installation?
Yes, it is rated IP56/IP66 and backed by a 5 year warranty.
