The Hunza Pure LED Path Light 1 Facet is a small recessed ground light built for a single job done well: throwing a clean, low, horizontal wash of light in one direction. Set flush into paving, decking or lawn edging, only the copper disc sits proud of the surface, with a single light window cut into its lens doing the work.
The Copper Finish
This variant is finished in solid copper. Fresh out of the box it has a warm, polished glow, and being a natural metal it will darken and pick up a soft patina outdoors as it weathers, something many customers like about copper garden lighting. The circular flange carries a discreet Hunza "H" mark at its centre and sits flush with the ground once installed.
How It Works
- A single wide window is cut into the custom made TIR borosilicate glass lens, directing light out horizontally in one direction rather than straight up.
- The recessed body measures 63.5mm in diameter and 68.5mm in length, with a cut out size of 63.5mm. The flange sits 88mm across and around 20mm deep, and the fitting is supplied with a 1m cable.
- Light comes from an integrated, replaceable Cree LED chip rated at 600 lumens (6 watts, 1050mA) with a CRI of 90+, available in 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K.
- It is dimmable if paired with a suitable dimmable driver.
- This is a Pure LED fitting, so it runs on low voltage and must be wired in series with a remote driver, not a simple plug in transformer.
- Rated IP67, with the lens specifically designed to keep dirt, mud, grass clippings and water out of the optics.
- Backed by a 10 year warranty (5 years on the LED).
Where It Works Best
Because it only lights in one direction, the 1 Facet is a good choice as a driveway marker light along a single edge, a border light tracing the line of a path, or a recessed path light set into a step where you want the beam kept off the tread above. It also suits raised beds or lawn edges where you want the light held back from spilling into planting.
Our Own Installations
The extra photographs on this page showing driveways, paths and courtyards lit at night are Moonlight Design's own designs and installations, not stock imagery. They show runs of recessed Hunza path lights marking driveway edges, kerb stones and paved routes, giving a sense of how a series of these small ground lights reads once installed rather than as a single studio shot. None of these particular photographs are close enough to show this copper finish in detail, so please use the studio image above for an accurate look at the metal itself.
Good to Know
- Usually ships in 2–3 days. If out of stock, allow 3–5 weeks.
- Returns are accepted within 14 days provided the light is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- The LED chip is integrated and replaceable, so there is no separate bulb to buy.
- A remote driver is required and is not always included, please check before ordering if you need one.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
- This copper finish is not rated for vehicles to drive over. For a drive over rated version, choose the stainless steel finish.
- Colours are indicative only. Physical swatches are available on request.
Questions People Ask
What is the difference between the 1 Facet and the other Path Light versions?
The 1 Facet has a single light window and throws light in one direction only. The 2, 3 and 4 Facet versions add extra windows around the lens so light is thrown in two, three or four directions from the same fitting.
Can I drive over this light?
No. The copper finish is not rated for vehicle weight. If you need a drive over rated path light, choose the stainless steel version of this fitting instead.
Does it need a transformer?
It needs a compatible remote LED driver wired in series, not a standard plug in transformer. Your electrician can confirm a suitable driver for the number of fittings on the circuit.
Is the bulb replaceable?
The LED chip is integrated rather than a separate bulb, but it is a Cree chip that can be serviced and replaced rather than swapped like a household lamp.
Is it suitable for a driveway?
Yes, as a driveway marker light along an edge or border. This copper version should be kept out of the path of vehicle tyres. If it needs to be driven over, choose the stainless steel finish.
