A Pure LED Lawn Light in Marine Grade Stainless Steel

The Hunza Pure LED Lawn Light is a ground recessed uplighter that sits level with the turf and sends a tight column of light skyward. The LED is part of the fitting, so there is no separate lamp to buy, and the LED board is field replaceable. In this version a marine grade 316 stainless steel flange crowns a powder coated aluminium body that stays below ground.

Marine Grade Stainless Steel Flange

The flange is 316 stainless steel, the grade used in marine and coastal fittings because it resists corrosion better than standard steel. It keeps its silver finish rather than developing the patina you would get with bronze, which makes it a good match for contemporary schemes or gardens near the coast. The body beneath it, buried once installed, is powder coated aluminium.

How It Works

• A Cree LED chip is fitted into the unit, rated at 600 lumens from 6 watts at 1050mA with a CRI of 90 or more at 3000K.
• Beam angle (15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees) and colour temperature (2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K) are chosen when you order.
• Recessed body 96mm in diameter and 86mm long, with a 152mm flange 10mm deep and a 96mm cut out, supplied with 1m of cable.
• Low voltage and wired in series, so it needs a remote LED driver, sold separately, rather than a parallel transformer.
• Dimmable with a suitable dimmable driver.
• Rated IP68 but not for use in pools or ponds, with a 10 year warranty and 5 years on the LED.
• If you prefer a replaceable MR16 lamp, the halogen Stainless Steel Lawn Light is built the same way.

Where It Works Best

Suited to coastal gardens, contemporary schemes where a silver tone suits the surroundings better than bronze, and installations where an integrated LED light source suits the project better than a replaceable halogen lamp.

Questions People Ask

Is this a good choice for a coastal garden?
Yes. The flange is 316 stainless steel, the marine grade chosen for its resistance to salt air corrosion.

Does it run from a transformer?
No. It uses a Hunza remote LED driver in place of one, and the lights are wired in series.

Can I pick the colour temperature?
Yes, anywhere from a warm 2200K to a cooler 4000K, together with the beam angle, though both are fixed once ordered.

Is it stainless steel all the way down?
Only the flange, which is the part you see at lawn level, is marine grade 316 stainless steel. Below ground the body is powder coated aluminium.

Is there a halogen version of this light?
Yes. The Stainless Steel Lawn Light uses the same construction but takes a separate, replaceable Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp instead of an integrated chip.
