The Hunza Pure LED Lawn Light sits flush in turf, throwing a narrow column of light straight up rather than spreading sideways, with the LED built into the fitting rather than fitted as a separate lamp. This version pairs a solid bronze flange, the ring you actually see and stand on in the lawn, with a powder coated aluminium body below ground.

The flange is solid bronze, not plated, so the visible ring will darken and develop a natural patina outdoors over the years, which Hunza treats as part of the design rather than a fault. The body beneath it, which sits below the surface once installed, is powder coated aluminium rather than bronze. If you want the fitting solid bronze throughout, including the buried body, Hunza also makes a fully cast solid bronze Pure LED version of this light.

How it works

Pure LED fittings use a Cree LED chip built into the fitting rather than a separate replaceable lamp, rated at 600 lumens from 6 watts with a CRI of 90 or higher. It's available with a choice of beam angle, 15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees, and colour temperature, from a warm 2200K up to a cooler 4000K, so it's worth deciding on both before you order. The recessed body is 96mm in diameter and 86mm long, set into a 152mm flange with a matching 96mm cut out.

Because the LED is integrated, there's no separate bulb to buy, but the fitting must be wired in series with a Hunza remote driver, sold separately, rather than a parallel transformer. It's dimmable if a suitable dimmable driver is used. If you'd rather use a standard replaceable MR16 lamp, the halogen Solid Bronze Lawn Light is built the same way but takes a separate bulb.

Where it works best

Suited to open lawn where the fitting needs to survive foot traffic without becoming a trip hazard, and where the buyer wants the lower running cost of an integrated LED: lighting a specimen tree from below, marking the edge of a lawn near a path, or picking out a single feature in an otherwise dark stretch of grass.

Questions People Ask

Is this light solid bronze all the way through?
No. The flange, the ring visible at lawn level, is solid bronze. The body beneath the surface is powder coated aluminium. Hunza's Cast Solid Bronze Pure LED Lawn Light is the fully solid bronze version if you need bronze throughout.

Does this need a transformer?
No. Pure LED fittings need a Hunza remote driver instead, wired in series rather than the parallel transformer setup used on the halogen version.

Will the bronze flange change colour over time?
Yes, left outdoors it will darken and develop a natural patina. This is expected and does not affect performance.

Can I choose the colour temperature?
Yes, from a warm 2200K up to a cooler 4000K, along with a choice of beam angle, but these are set when you order rather than adjustable afterwards.

Is there a halogen version of this light?
Yes, the standard Solid Bronze Lawn Light uses the same flange and body construction but takes a separate, replaceable Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp instead of an integrated chip.
