The Hunza Pure LED Lawn Light Deck Mount is built to sit inside timber decking rather than turf, taking foot traffic without cracking or working loose. This version pairs a marine grade 316 stainless steel flange with a powder coated aluminium body below the deck, with the LED built into the fitting rather than fitted as a separate lamp.

Marine grade stainless steel flange

The flange is 316 stainless steel, the grade used in marine and coastal fittings for its resistance to corrosion. It keeps a consistent silver finish rather than developing a patina, which suits contemporary decking or gardens near the coast. The body beneath it, recessed into the decking, is powder coated aluminium.

How it works

Pure LED fittings use a Cree LED chip built into the fitting rather than a separate replaceable lamp, rated at 600 lumens from 6 watts with a CRI of 85 or higher. It's available with a choice of beam angle, 15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees, and colour temperature, from a warm 2200K up to a cooler 4000K, so it's worth deciding on both before you order. The recessed body is 140mm in diameter and 86mm long, set into a 165mm flange, and it's supplied with 1m of cable.

Because the LED is integrated, there's no separate bulb to buy, but the fitting must be wired in series with a Hunza remote driver, sold separately, rather than a parallel transformer. It's dimmable if a suitable dimmable driver is used. If you'd rather use a standard replaceable MR16 lamp, the halogen Deck Mount Stainless Steel Lawn Light is built the same way but takes a separate bulb.

Built for timber decking rather than lawn: coastal terraces, raised decks, and anywhere the salt air or foot traffic makes stainless steel the practical choice, where the buyer also wants the lower running cost of an integrated LED.
