Hunza Pure LED Lawn Light - Cast Solid Bronze - Low Voltage

A Fully Cast Solid Bronze Pure LED Lawn Light

The Hunza Pure LED Lawn Light in cast solid bronze is bronze from the fluted body right up through the flange, not just a bronze ring on top of something else. It lies flush with the turf and lights upward in a narrow column. The LED is part of the unit, so no lamp is ever fitted separately.

Cast Bronze, Top to Bottom

Every part of this fitting you can see, and the body buried beneath it, is solid bronze. That makes it the toughest version of the Pure LED Lawn Light Hunza makes: it copes with regular mowing, high soil acidity, salt spray and heavy fertiliser use without the finish chipping or wearing through. Left outdoors, the bronze will darken and develop a natural patina over time, which Hunza treats as part of the design rather than a fault.

How It Works

• The Cree LED chip delivers 600 lumens from 6 watts at 1050mA, and its CRI is 90 or more at 3000K.
• You choose the beam angle from 15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees and the colour temperature from 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K at the point of purchase.
• Recessed body 100mm long including the 40mm cable gland, under a 146mm diameter flange 13.5mm deep. Cut out 96mm, with 1m of cable.
• Low voltage, wired in series with a remote LED driver that is sold separately.
• Dims when used with a suitable dimmable driver.
• IP68 rated, though not suitable for pools or ponds. The warranty is 10 years, or 5 years for the LED.
• A halogen Cast Solid Bronze Lawn Light is made too, taking a separate MR16 lamp.

Where It Works Best

Suited to lawns that see regular mowing, high footfall, or ground conditions like heavy fertiliser or salt spray that would wear a lighter finish, where the buyer also wants the lower running cost and long life of an integrated LED over a replaceable halogen lamp.

Lighting Schemes by Moonlight Design

We have worked with Hunza since 2003. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza lighting and install it in real gardens. This cast bronze Pure LED version is a good choice when a client wants the durability of solid bronze along with an integrated LED light source. Our Design Service page features photographs of our own finished projects and sets out how we plan a scheme, draw it up and install it with NICEIC registered electricians. Do pay it a visit if you are planning lawn lighting of your own.

Good to Know

• Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
• Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
• Solid bronze throughout, including the buried body, so it can be mown over and used in acidic or salty ground.
• The integrated chip is serviceable rather than disposable.
• Not intended for pools or ponds.
• We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Questions People Ask

Is the body solid bronze as well as the flange?
Yes. Unlike the Solid Bronze Pure LED Lawn Light, which pairs a bronze flange with a powder coated aluminium body, this cast version is solid bronze all the way through.

Can the colour temperature be changed after purchase?
No. Colour temperature and beam angle are set by the LED chip you order, so decide on both first.

Is a transformer needed?
No. Instead it needs a Hunza remote LED driver, and the lights run in series.

Can I mow over this light?
Yes. It is designed to take regular mowing without the finish chipping, which is why Hunza recommends it for lawns with high soil acidity, salt content or heavy fertiliser use.

Can I get this in halogen?
Yes. The Cast Solid Bronze Lawn Light has the same solid bronze construction but takes a separate, replaceable Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp.
