A Low Level Light for Ferns and Foliage

The Hunza Pure LED Fern Light is made for low planting. It is a compact, spike mounted fitting with a contoured hood over the lens, so leaves and stems pick up the light while the lamp itself stays out of your eyeline. This low voltage version is made in marine grade 316 stainless steel.

Brushed 316 Stainless Steel

Solid 316 stainless steel gives this fern light a consistent brushed finish that sits quietly among the planting. In some environments stainless can pick up a light surface tarnish, and a regular wash keeps it in check. If you would prefer a finish that changes with time, the same fitting is also made in solid copper, and in powder coated aluminium.

How It Works

• Light leaves through a UV stable polycarbonate lens with an anti glare mesh, all the way round at 360 degrees.
• The contoured hood reflects most of the light downwards, below the horizontal plane, which keeps glare down.
• A Cree LED chip gives 510 lumens from 6 watts at 1050mA, with a CRI of 90 or more at 3000K. Choose 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K when you order.
• Hood diameter 140mm, body diameter 63.5mm and body length 135mm, on a 145mm spike. Supplied with 1m of cable.
• Low voltage and wired in series, so it needs a remote LED driver such as the Hunza 1050mA driver, sold separately.
• Dimmable when used with a suitable dimmable driver.
• Rated IP66 with a 10 year warranty, and 5 years on the LED. The parts are serviceable.

• Among ferns, hostas and other soft foliage in a shaded border
• Beneath low shrubs, where you want the leaves lit rather than the ground
• Along the edge of a border to give a gentle, low level glow
• Anywhere a small, discreet light is needed in planting

Where should I put a fern light?
It is designed for low level foliage, so it suits ferns, hostas and low shrubs where you want to light the leaves.

Does it point straight at the viewer?
No. Most of the light is reflected downwards below the horizontal plane by the hood, and the lens has an anti glare mesh.

Can I dim it?
Yes, when it is used with a suitable dimmable driver.

Does the stainless steel tarnish?
It keeps a consistent brushed finish, but can pick up a light surface tarnish in some environments, which regular washing keeps in check.
