A Discreet Pair of Spikes for Planting and Trees
Two adjustable spotlights share one cross bar on the Hunza Pure LED Euro Twin Bar Light, which is pushed into the ground on two spikes. It is small by design, so it tucks into a border or sits at the foot of a tree without drawing the eye. Because the heads move independently you can light a shrub with one and a garden feature with the other. This low voltage version has a Cree LED chip in each head.
Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel
This fitting is made from marine grade 316 stainless steel, which keeps a consistent brushed finish. In some environments stainless can pick up a light surface tarnish, and washing it regularly keeps that in check. If you would rather have a metal that ages and changes colour, the same light is also made in solid copper.
How It Works
- Both arms turn through 360 degrees and tilt from 0 to 90 degrees, giving you free aim for each beam.
- The LED chips are Cree and replaceable. Output is 420 lumens from 4 watts at 700mA, with a CRI of 90 or more at 3000K.
- Choose from 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, beam angles of 15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees, and a clear or frosted lens.
- Head bodies measure 44mm across and 80mm long. The bar is 38mm across and 250mm long, the spikes are 150mm and 1m of cable is supplied.
- Total forward voltage is 12V, with 6V for each head. Wired in series with a remote LED driver, sold separately.
- Dimmable if you pair it with a suitable dimmable driver.
- IP66 rated, with a 10 year warranty and 5 years on the LED.
Where It Works Best
- In lawn edges and planted beds, where the spikes go straight into soft ground
- Lighting two neighbouring shrubs with a single fitting
- Washing a tree trunk and the planting around its base
- Winding borders where a small, quiet fitting suits better than a larger post
Planning Your Scheme With Us
Hunza has been part of our work at Moonlight Design since 2003. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them. Our Design Service page shows project photographs of our own completed lighting schemes, along with how we plan, draw up and install them using NICEIC registered electricians. Take a look if you would like help placing lights like this in your own garden.
Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- The LED is integrated, so no lamp needs buying later, and the parts are serviceable.
- A remote LED driver is needed and is sold separately. The series wiring means your electrician should plan the circuit first.
- Stainless steel can show a light surface tarnish in some settings. Washing it regularly keeps it looking clean.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
