Two Kinds of Light From One Copper Fitting
The Hunza Pure LED Dual Lighter, also called the Pillar Pagoda Light, gives you two effects in a single fitting. At the pagoda end the lens reflects light horizontally and upwards for a general glow. At the pillar end the light is directed up or down, depending on how you mount it. It suits a gate pillar or wall where you want both ambient light and a defined wash. This is the low voltage version, with an integrated Cree LED chip.
Copper Finish That Develops Over Time
This fitting is made in copper, a natural finish that Hunza designs to weather and patina. When new it is bright and warm, then it deepens to brown and, given time, a soft green. For a finish that stays put, the Dual Lighter is also made in 316 stainless steel and powder coated aluminium.
How It Works
- The pagoda end spreads light around, while the pillar end lights up or down.
- A Cree LED provides 510 lumens at 1050mA from 6 watts, with CRI 90 or more at 3000K.
- Choose 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, a beam angle of 15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees, and a clear or frosted lens.
- Body diameter 63.5mm and length 202mm, on a 78mm diameter base 28mm deep, with 1m of cable.
- Low voltage and series wired, 6vF per end and 12vF overall, so a remote driver such as the Hunza 1050mA driver is needed, sold separately.
- It can be dimmed when paired with a suitable dimmable driver.
- IP66 rated, with a 10 year warranty and 5 years on the LED.
Where It Works Best
- On a brick pillar where the top should glow and the face should be washed
- At the end of a garden wall or a terrace pier
- Beside steps that need a little general light plus a directed wash
- Next to planting you want to graze with a narrow beam
Planning Your Scheme With Us
Moonlight Design has worked with Hunza since 2003. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them with NICEIC registered electricians. Our Design Service page shows photographs of our own completed schemes, and explains how we plan, draw up and install them. Visit it if you want help deciding where this light belongs.
Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns accepted within 14 days if unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- Needs a remote LED driver, sold separately, and series wiring.
- Expect the copper to darken and develop a patina outdoors. That is normal and not a fault.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Questions People Ask
What is the difference between the two ends?
The pagoda end gives a general effect, reflecting light horizontally and upwards, while the pillar end gives uplighting or downlighting.
Which beam angles are there?
15, 25, 38 and 60 degrees, along with a clear or frosted lens.
Is a driver needed?
Yes. It is low voltage, wired in series, and needs a remote LED driver sold separately.
Will the copper stay bright?
No. It is a natural finish that deepens to brown and eventually green outdoors.
