A Dimmable, Living Finish Border Light
This version brings the PureLED integrated chip and dimming control to the solid bronze and copper Border Light, wired through a remote low voltage driver rather than a straightforward transformer, so it can be zoned and dimmed alongside the rest of a low voltage garden lighting scheme.
Solid Bronze and Copper
Supplied uncoated, the bronze and copper will darken and develop a natural patina with weather exposure rather than staying bright, the same way old garden metalwork always has. This is expected and is part of the character of the finish rather than a fault.
How It Works
- The integrated Cree LED chip is wired in series through a remote driver, outputting 120 lumens at 2 watts.
- Dimmable, provided it is wired to a suitable dimmable low voltage driver.
- The head rotates 360 degrees and tilts from 0 to 90 degrees on a fully adjustable arm.
- Rated IP56/IP66, and backed by a 10 year warranty on the fitting, with the LED chip covered for 5 years.
Where It Works Best
The ageing tone of bronze and copper suits traditional gardens, brick paths and stone steps particularly well, and the ability to dim makes it a good fit for a scheme where different areas of the garden are lit to different levels through the evening.

Designed and Made in New Zealand
Hunza has hand assembled outdoor lighting in Auckland, New Zealand for more than 30 years, according to the brand, building its PureLED fittings to be serviced rather than replaced, and its solid bronze and copper fittings to age naturally outdoors.
Good to Know
- Supplied as 850mm as standard. The 400mm length is made to order and is non returnable.
- The solid bronze and copper finish will darken and patina naturally with weather exposure. This is normal and does not need to be prevented or polished away.
- The Cree LED chip is built in, so there is no separate bulb to buy.
- Requires a suitable dimmable low voltage driver to dim. Without one, it will run at fixed output.
- Moonlight Design recommends that all outdoor lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
