A Dimmable Border Light with a Built In LED

This version of the Hunza Border Light replaces the usual G4 capsule bulb with a factory fitted Cree LED chip, wired into a low voltage circuit through a remote driver rather than a simple transformer. Wired this way it can be dimmed, giving you control over a border or path light that the standard version does not offer, while keeping the same wide, glare free spread of light.

Powder Coated Aluminium

The body is finished in a durable powder coated aluminium, available in seven colours: matt black, matt bronze, matt white, matt dark grey, matt olive green, matt white birch and matt silver star. It is supplied with a frosted glass lens as standard, softening the beam and reducing glare when seen from the side.

How It Works

• The integrated Cree LED chip is wired in series through a remote driver, and outputs 120 lumens at 2 watts.
• Dimmable, provided it is wired to a suitable dimmable low voltage driver.
• The head rotates 360 degrees and tilts from 0 to 90 degrees on a fully adjustable arm.
• Rated IP56/IP66, and backed by a 5 year warranty.

Where It Works Best

Because it can be dimmed, this version suits gardens where the lighting is zoned or controlled, letting a border or path run brighter for arriving guests and lower for a quiet evening. It works equally well as a single accent in a flower bed or repeated in a line beside steps or a patio.

Hunza has designed and hand assembled outdoor lighting in Auckland, New Zealand for over 30 years, according to the brand, and the PureLED range extends that same build quality into a serviceable, dimmable LED fitting rather than a disposable one.

• Supplied as 850mm as standard. The 400mm length is made to order and is non returnable.
• The Cree LED chip is built in, so there is no separate bulb to buy.
• Requires a suitable dimmable low voltage driver to dim. Without one, it will run at fixed output.

Can this Border Light be dimmed?
Yes, when it is wired to a suitable dimmable low voltage driver. Without one it will operate at a fixed output.

What's the difference between this and the standard Border Light?
This is the PureLED version. The LED chip is factory fitted and wired in series through a remote driver, rather than taking a separate G4 capsule bulb off a straightforward transformer.
