A Stainless Bollard Fixed Down onto a Hard Surface
Where the ground is paving, decking or a solid base rather than soil, the surface flange version of the Hunza Pure LED Bollard is the one to look at. It stands 688mm tall and is fixed down through its flange, with the same twin angle reflector as the spike mounted model. Light falls onto the surface below and spreads out sideways, marking a route without glare. This is the low voltage version with an integrated Cree LED.
316 Stainless Steel with a Brushed Finish
The body is marine grade 316 stainless steel. It keeps a steady brushed finish and suits crisp, modern hard landscaping. Like any stainless steel it may develop a light surface tarnish in some settings, and a regular wash keeps that under control. Solid copper and powder coated aluminium versions are also made.
How It Works
- A mirror finish reflector directs light at two angles through a UV stable acrylic lens with an anti glare mesh.
- 170 lumens from 6 watts at 1050mA, with a CRI of 90 or more at 3000K.
- 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K can be chosen when you order.
- Diameter 63.5mm and height 688mm, supplied with 1m of cable.
- Low voltage and series wired. A remote driver, such as the Hunza 1050mA driver, is needed and sold separately.
- Dimmable when used with a suitable dimmable driver.
- IP56/IP66 rated, with a 10 year warranty and 5 years on the LED.
Where It Works Best
- On terraces and patios, where there is no soil to take a spike
- Beside steps, ramps and level changes in paved areas
- Along a paved drive or courtyard edge
- Next to a decked walkway or a garden room entrance
Seen Through Moonlight Design Projects
For over twenty years Moonlight Design has been fitting Hunza lights in real gardens, and we plan and install them ourselves. On our Design Service page you will find project photographs of our own completed schemes, along with how we plan, draw up and install them using NICEIC registered electricians. It is worth a look if you are working out how to light a paved area.
