A Powder Coated Lawn Light With Seven Finish Options

The Hunza Lawn Light in powder coat sits flush with the turf and points its lamp upward, rather than spreading light sideways. It runs on low voltage, and the powder coated aluminium body means you can match or contrast it with paving, planting or brickwork rather than being limited to a metal tone.

Powder Coated Aluminium, Seven Colours

The body is cast from corrosion resistant low copper aluminium alloy with a chromate substrate and a UV resistant polyester powder coat, and the flange is solid aluminium. It comes in Black, Bronze, Dark Grey, Olive Green, Silver Star, White and White Birch, with swatches available on request since colours on screen are only ever a guide. Hunza gives the aluminium version a 5 year warranty, compared with 10 years on its solid bronze and 316 stainless steel flange versions.

How It Works

• Hunza designs the fitting to be mowed over without damaging the luminaire, with a 12mm clear tempered, shatter resistant glass lens that sits flush so water and dirt cannot pool on it. The lens carries a lifetime warranty.
• The lamp can be directed up to 20 degrees at a tree, shrub or the side of a building without lifting the fitting out of the ground, because the flange is held by three anti vandal 316 stainless steel allen head screws.
• The recessed body is 96mm in diameter and 86mm long, set into a 152mm flange 10mm deep with a 96mm cut out, and it comes with 1m of cable.
• Rated IP67.
• No lamp is supplied. It takes an MR16 (GU5.3) lamp, and Hunza lists a maximum of 20 or 35 watts. Fit a Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp to keep the IP rating and warranty valid.
• As a low voltage fitting it needs a transformer bought separately, with the circuit wired in parallel.
• A frosted lens, hex cell retainer and cable joint kit are available as accessories.

Where It Works Best

Suited to borders, beds and lawn areas where colour matching matters, such as a pale paving edge or a dark planting bed. Hunza advises thinking about ground conditions such as fertiliser, soil acidity and salt content before choosing an in ground fitting, and the solid bronze, cast solid bronze or stainless steel versions of this light carry a longer warranty. A GU10 mains version of the same light is available if you want to avoid the transformer.

Planned and Installed in Real Gardens

Can this be mowed over?
