Hunza Eave Light - Powder Coat - Low Voltage

The Hunza Eave Light in powder coat is the plain, understated version of Hunza's small recessed downlight, built to disappear into a painted soffit rather than draw attention to itself.

Powder coated aluminium finish

• The body is aluminium, finished in a durable powder coat rather than a natural solid metal, so the colour stays consistent rather than weathering over time.
• Available in a range of Hunza's standard powder coat colours including black, white, grey, silver, green, brown and bronze.
• Colours are for guidance only on screen, physical swatches are available on request before you order.

How it works

• This is a low voltage fitting, so it needs a transformer and a Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp, both sold separately.
• The cut out for the recessed body is 65mm.
• Wiring is parallel, so several fittings can run from one transformer along a soffit line.
• The lamp is dimmable provided a dimmable LED is fitted.
• If you would rather wire straight to the mains with a GU10 lamp and skip the transformer, the same light is also available as the Hunza Eave Light GU10 in powder coat.

• Soffits and eaves, especially where the colour needs to match existing fascia or render.
• Porches and entrance canopies, for a neat, low key downlight rather than a visible fitting.
• Garages and carports where a durable, weatherproof finish matters more than a natural metal look.

Our experience with Hunza

Moonlight Design has supplied Hunza's outdoor range since 2003. The powder coat finish is usually the one people choose when they want the light to match their existing colour scheme rather than stand out as a feature in its own right.

Good to know

• Usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
• Returns are accepted within 14 days provided the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
• No bulb is supplied. Fit a Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp to keep the IP rating and warranty valid.
• A low voltage transformer is required and is not included.
• We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Questions people ask

• Will the powder coat finish fade outdoors? Hunza's powder coat is designed for exterior use, though like any painted finish it should be expected to weather gently over many years in direct sun and salt air.
• Can I get a colour that is not listed? Colour swatches are available on request, and Hunza's standard powder coat range covers black, white, grey, silver, green, brown and bronze.
• What lamp does this need? A Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp, bought separately, plus a compatible low voltage transformer.
• Is there a mains version without a transformer? Yes, the GU10 mains version of this light uses the same body without needing a transformer.
