Polished to a bright shine, the Gold & Smoked Bulb Humble One brings a glamorous edge to any tabletop, its metallic base reflecting the warm glow of its exposed smoked bulb. As Humble's original design, One remains the simplest way to get genuine light with no cable in sight.

Choosing Gold and Smoked Bulb

The shiny gold base gives One a dressed up, reflective quality that the wood finishes do not have, and the smoked bulb tints its light amber rather than letting it shine clear. For a warmer wood look instead, the walnut or oak versions are the alternative.

How It Works

One charges on a Qi wireless dock or via the included USB-C cable, 4 to 6 hours for up to 140 hours of light on its lowest of three brightness levels. The exposed E27 bulb is fully replaceable, and the lamp's modular, battery powered build is designed so every part can be maintained rather than discarded. It carries an IP65 rating and comes with the lamp, its LED bulb, a USB-C cable and a storage bag.

Where It Works Best

An IP65 rating means this One can sit in bathroom zones 1 and 2, beside a bath, shower or sink, without the rewiring a mains lamp would need (see our bathroom lighting zones guide for the detail). Its shiny gold finish also suits a dressing table or a console where a little reflective glamour is wanted alongside the light itself.

Made By Humble

Founded in Amsterdam in 2018 by Jorren Teertstra with fellow Dutch industrial design engineers Gert, Tom, Lenny and Douwe, Humble set out to build a wireless alternative to candlelight. One was their first product, and this gold finish carries that original cordless idea into a more polished, decorative register.

Does the gold finish tarnish over time? It is built to an IP65 rating for damp conditions, and normal indoor or bathroom use should not affect the finish.

Can the smoked bulb be swapped for a clear one? Yes, replacement bulbs in clear and smoked finishes are available separately if the look ever needs changing.

Is this suitable for a dressing table mirror setup? Its reflective gold base and warm glow suit a dressing table well, though it is designed as ambient light rather than a dedicated makeup light.
