The dark grain gives this One a bolder, more graphic look than the paler oak or walnut finishes, standing out against a light desk or console rather than blending into it. For a lighter wood tone in the same shape, oak or walnut are the alternatives.

How It Works

One charges on a Qi wireless dock or via the included USB-C cable, 4 to 6 hours for up to 140 hours of light on its lowest of three brightness levels. Its exposed E27 bulb is fully replaceable, and the lamp's modular, battery powered build means every part is designed to be maintained rather than replaced wholesale. It carries an IP65 rating and comes with the lamp, its LED bulb, a USB-C cable and a storage bag.

Where It Works Best

Being IP65 rated, this One suits bathroom zones 1 and 2, beside a bath, shower or sink, without needing an electrician to fit a mains alternative (see our bathroom lighting zones guide for the specifics). Made By Humble

Humble was founded in Amsterdam in 2018 by Jorren Teertstra and fellow Dutch industrial design engineers Gert, Tom, Lenny and Douwe, with the aim of a wireless alternative to candlelight. One was their first product, and this dark wood finish carries the same cordless, repairable idea into a bolder register.
