Rutland is a single arm wall light with a graceful, curved silhouette, its metal arm sweeping from an oval backplate down to a conical shade rather than sitting in a straight, rigid line. The organic shape gives it a softer presence on the wall than a more angular sconce.

Aged brass finish with a white faux silk shade

The backplate and arm are finished in aged brass, a warm, softly burnished tone that pairs easily with white, cream and other light wall colours. The shade is a white faux silk fabric rather than glass or alabaster, so it gives a soft, diffused light and a warmer, more textile look than a hard shade would.

How it works

Rutland takes a single E14 bulb, maximum 60W (not supplied), positioned inside the fabric shade so the light reads as a gentle glow through the material rather than a direct point source. It measures around 64.8cm in height, 12.7cm in width, and projects roughly 17.8cm from the wall. As a mains wired fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Rutland suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways, working well either side of a bed, flanking a fireplace, or spaced along a hallway wall where a softer, more traditional light is wanted. The white shade and aged brass finish sit comfortably in classic and transitional interiors.
