Pylon sets two separate fluted glass diffusers, one above and one below a central bevel cut brass mount, with etched detailing on the inside of the glass and a clear, sleek exterior. It's a minimal, linear design, and its compact backplate, smaller than most standard sconces, keeps the overall footprint tight against the wall.

The central mount and end caps are finished in aged brass, a warm, softly worn tone that frames the glass without competing with it. Each diffuser is glass with fluted and etched detailing worked into the inner surface, so the light appears textured and directional even though the outer face stays clear and smooth.

How it works

Pylon takes two E27 tubular (Type T) bulbs, each rated up to 40W (not supplied), one inside each of the two diffusers. It measures around 67cm in height and 7cm in width, projecting about 6cm from the wall, and weighs 1.4kg. As a mains wired fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician. It also carries ADA certification, relevant for accessible installations.

Where it works best

Its slim, linear shape and compact projection suit kitchens and dining rooms, particularly where wall space is tight or a run of light is wanted along a stretch of wall rather than a single point fixture.
