Pomfret is a single pendant from Hudson Valley Lighting built around a piece of thickly ribbed, spindle blown glass that curves and winds around a vintage style exposed filament bulb rather than concealing it. A black braided cord carries the fitting from the ceiling, adding a simple, slightly industrial detail against the glass and brass.

The fittings and canopy are finished in aged brass, a warm, softly weathered metal tone that pairs well with the exposed bulb look. The glass itself is clear and heavily ribbed, spindle blown so no two pieces are quite identical, letting the filament bulb show clearly through its curves rather than diffusing it.

How it works

Pomfret takes a single E27 tube shaped bulb, maximum 40W (not supplied), left visible through the clear ribbed glass for a warm, vintage style glow. It measures around 52cm in height and 15cm in diameter, with an adjustable drop from roughly 67cm up to 387cm on its braided cord, so it can be hung low over a table or grouped at varying heights. As a mains wired fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

It suits kitchens and dining rooms, whether hung as a single pendant over a table or grouped with others at different heights above a kitchen island. The exposed bulb and clear glass work well in industrial and transitional interiors that want a visible, characterful light source rather than a fully diffused shade.
