Persis is a single arm wall light from Hudson Valley Lighting that pairs a narrow, tapering metal arm with a faceted crystal orb and a soft linen shade above it. The crystal catches and scatters the light in small, irregular patterns across the wall, giving an otherwise simple candelabra shape a more decorative quality.

Polished nickel finish with crystal and linen

The arm and candelabra base are finished in polished nickel, a bright, cool metal tone that complements the sparkle of the crystal orb. Sitting above it, an off white linen shade tempers the light to something softer and warmer, balancing the more ornamental crystal detailing below.

How it works

Persis takes a single E14 bulb rated up to 60W (not supplied), positioned within the linen shade so the crystal below catches ambient light rather than acting as the light source itself. It measures around 50.2cm in height and 14.6cm in width, projecting about 16.5cm from the wall, and weighs 1.6kg. As a mains wired fitting, installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

It suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways where a touch of glamour is wanted, for example either side of a mirror or headboard, or as a pair flanking a fireplace. The mix of crystal, metal and linen makes it a good fit for more romantic or dressed up interiors rather than pared back, minimal schemes.
