An asymmetric alabaster and brass sconce with integrated LED

Jervis pairs a brass base with a circular alabaster shade set off centre, giving the fitting an asymmetric, slightly unexpected geometry rather than a conventional straight on symmetry. The integrated LED lights the alabaster from within, so the stone itself becomes the visible light source.

Aged brass with natural alabaster

The base is finished in aged brass, warm and softly worn, paired with a genuine alabaster shade. As a natural stone, the colour and veining will vary from piece to piece and from any photography you've seen online, which is a normal feature of alabaster rather than a flaw, though worth bearing in mind if you're ordering more than one.

How it works

Jervis uses a 15W integrated LED rated at 90 CRI, giving a warm 2700K light output of around 900 lumens, and is triac dimmable with a compatible dimmer. It measures around 55cm in height and 18cm in width, projecting about 9cm from the wall, and weighs 2.6kg. As an integrated LED, mains wired fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its warm glow and asymmetric shape suit living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways where a softer, sculptural accent light is wanted, for example beside a doorway, above a console table or as a pair flanking a mirror.
