A classic candle sconce, remade in uniformly finished cast metal

Islip takes the traditional candle sconce, bobeche, candle sleeve and all, and rebuilds it entirely in cast metal with a single, uniform finish. Stepped detailing on the backplate and at the base of its thick, rounded arm gives the fixture a more machined, considered feel than a typical candle style light.

Polished nickel finish

Islip is finished in polished nickel, a bright, cool toned metal that suits contemporary and transitional interiors, particularly alongside other nickel or chrome fittings. The uniform finish across the whole fixture, rather than mixed metals, is part of what gives it its refined, machined look.

How it works

Islip takes a single E14 bulb, maximum 60W (not supplied), styled to sit within the candle sleeve at the top of the arm. It measures around 37cm in height and 12cm in width, projecting roughly 14cm from the wall. As a mains wired fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

It suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways where a traditional candle sconce shape is wanted with a cleaner, more contemporary finish, for example either side of a mirror or fireplace, or in pairs along a hallway or staircase wall.
