Hobart pairs an aged brass shade with a natural stone diffuser, in either travertine or nero marquina marble, letting light spill from beneath the metal and catch the stone's natural markings. It's an uncomplicated shape, a single shade on a compact backplate, but the material pairing gives it more depth than the silhouette alone suggests.

The shade is finished in aged brass, a warm, softly weathered metal tone, set above a diffuser cut from natural stone. As with any natural stone piece, expect variation in colour and veining from one fixture to the next and from any photography you've seen online, that's part of working with a real material rather than a flaw.

How it works

Hobart takes a single GU10 LED bulb (MR16 base), maximum 9W (not supplied), positioned so the light washes down through the stone diffuser. It measures around 41cm in height and 13cm in width, projecting roughly 8cm from the wall. As a mains wired fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

It suits living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways where a compact, refined wall light is wanted, for example either side of a mirror or fireplace, or spaced along a corridor. The combination of brass and stone works well in both traditional and more pared back contemporary interiors.
