A slim aged brass tube on a honed marble base, built to mount either way up

Hayden pairs a cylindrical aged brass tube, with a subtly knurled texture at each end, on a rectangular base of honed nero madera marble. It's designed to be mounted horizontally or vertically, so the same fitting can work as a bath bar above a mirror or as a picture light beside artwork, depending on how it's turned.

The tube and end caps are finished in aged brass, a warm tone with a slightly weathered look that reads well against dark marble or painted walls. The base is honed nero madera marble, a dark natural stone, so expect some variation in veining and tone between individual pieces, which is normal for a natural material rather than a fault.

How it works

Hayden uses a 9W integrated LED rated at 125 lumens with a warm 2700K colour temperature and a CRI of 90, so colours and skin tones read accurately under it. It's ELV and TRIAC dimmable, provided it's paired with a compatible dimmer switch. Mounted horizontally it measures around 7.6cm in height and 45.7cm in length; mounted vertically it measures around 43.2cm in height and 5.7cm in width. As a mains wired fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its dual mounting option makes Hayden useful in several spots, as a bath bar above a bathroom mirror, as a picture light beside artwork, or as a simple accent in a living room, dining room, hallway or home office. This fitting carries an IP20 rating, so while it's often used near a bathroom mirror, its exact position needs to sit outside the zones nearest a bath, shower or basin.
