Hawkins pairs a substantial block of crystal, faceted and ribbed along its length, with a tube shaped bulb held visibly within it. The crystal sits flush against a rectangular brass backplate, so the fitting stays close to the wall while still reading as a considered feature rather than a flush fixture.

Aged brass finish with faceted crystal

The backplate is finished in aged brass, a warm, softly weathered metal tone that sits well against dark paint, panelling or traditional joinery. The crystal block itself is cut and faceted along its surface, so it catches and scatters light from the bulb inside rather than simply housing it.

How it works

Hawkins takes a single E27 tube shaped bulb, maximum 40W (not supplied), visible within the faceted crystal for a warm, glinting glow rather than a flat wash of light. It measures around 43cm in height and 11cm in width, projecting about 9.5cm from the wall. As a mains wired fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

It suits kitchens and dining rooms where a decorative accent light is wanted alongside the main lighting, for example either side of a mirror or artwork, or as a pair flanking a fireplace or dresser. Its aged brass and crystal combination sits comfortably in traditional interiors built around warm metal tones.
