Harlem takes the classic library sconce shape and stretches it, a long curved arm reaching out from a compact backplate to a wide drum shade in linen. The scale is the point here, it reads as a considered statement piece rather than a discreet accent, while keeping a familiar, easy to place silhouette.

Aged brass finish with a linen shade

The arm and backplate are finished in aged brass, a warm tone with a deliberately worn quality that suits both traditional rooms and more contemporary ones built around brass and wood. The drum shade itself is linen over a steel frame, giving a soft, even spread of light rather than a sharp point source, with a texture that feels tactile rather than glossy.

How it works

Harlem takes a single E27 bulb rated up to 40W (not supplied), positioned centrally within the linen shade. It measures around 61cm in height and 13cm in width, projecting about 16cm from the wall and weighing 2.2kg. As a mains wired fitting, installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its generous scale and warm materials suit living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways, particularly where one larger fitting is wanted rather than a pair, for example above a console table, beside a doorway or at the turn of a staircase.
