A starburst semi flush with eight glass shades
Fleming arranges eight oblate, spheroid glass shades on trumpet shaped arms that radiate outward from a central ceiling plate, a starburst configuration that gives it a strong graphic presence despite sitting close to the ceiling. It reads as a considered architectural fitting rather than a purely decorative one.
Aged brass frame with glass shades
The frame is finished in aged brass, a warm, lightly burnished metal tone that suits kitchens and dining spaces built around wood, stone and warm metal accents. The shades are plain glass, chosen to spread the light evenly rather than draw attention to themselves.
How it works
It takes 8 x G9 bulbs, each rated up to 6W (not supplied), one per shade, giving a broad, even spread of light across a wide area. Fleming measures around 37cm in height and 93cm in diameter, and weighs 8.6kg. As a mains wired fitting, installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Where it works best
Its scale and even spread of light suit larger kitchens, dining rooms, living rooms and hallways, particularly over an island or dining table where a semi flush fitting is needed in place of a pendant. The starburst frame also works well in a walk in closet or dressing room wanting broad, even light. The geometric brass frame suits contemporary and mid century inspired interiors.
