Hudson Valley Eldridge 1 Light B Pendant - Aged Brass

A minimalist cage pendant with a glass shade

Eldridge pairs an open steel cage with a glass shade, letting light spill out through the frame as well as through the glass itself rather than staying contained behind a solid shade. This "B" version uses a dome shaped shade, and it hangs from a run of hook and loop chain that adds its own bit of detail above the fitting.

Aged brass finish with clear glass

The cage and hardware are finished in aged brass, a warm, slightly burnished metal tone that suits kitchens, dining spaces and hallways built around wood, brass or darker paint colours. The glass shade is a plain, undecorated form, so the fitting reads mostly through the metal cage and the shape of the light itself.

How it works

It takes a single E27 bulb rated up to 13W (not supplied), left visible within the cage and glass rather than hidden, so the bulb shape itself becomes part of the design. It measures around 51cm in height and 36cm in width, with a minimum drop of about 59cm and a maximum drop of around 189cm on its chain. As a mains wired fitting, installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Eldridge suits kitchen islands, dining tables, hallways and stairwells where a single, characterful drop light is wanted, and it also works well in a living room or bedroom as a reading or accent light. The aged brass finish and exposed cage design suit industrial, transitional and traditional kitchens equally.
