A tall, linen shaded sconce from the Bowery family

This two light wall sconce runs a single wide oval linen shade midway up a slim polished nickel rod, with the bare rod continuing above and below to its top and bottom wall mounts. It brings the same textured, tactile character found across the wider Bowery collection to a tall, narrow wall fitting.

Polished nickel finish

The rod and wall mounts are finished in polished nickel, a cool, reflective tone that recedes behind the linen shade, so the softness of the fabric is what catches the eye rather than the metalwork underneath.

How it works

It takes two E14 bulbs rated up to 8W each (not supplied), both housed under the single linen shade, diffused for a soft, even wash of light. The sconce measures around 86cm in height and 30cm in width, projecting about 10cm from the wall, so it needs a reasonably tall run of clear wall to sit well. As a mains wired fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its height and soft light suit living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways with tall wall runs, for example beside a bed, either side of a fireplace, or along a stairwell.

Does this wall sconce come with light bulbs?
No bulbs are included. It takes two E14 bulbs rated up to 8W each, so you will need to source these separately before it can be installed.

Is the Bowery sconce hardwired or does it need a plug socket?
