A tall sconce with a single wide linen shade

This Bowery sconce runs a single wide oval linen shade midway up a tall rod, with brass mounting discs at the top and bottom. It extends the Bowery family's textured, fabric shaded look into a larger, more vertical format than the range's single light pieces.

Aged old bronze finish with a linen shade

The rod is finished in aged old bronze, a deliberately weathered, dark metal tone that suits traditional and transitional rooms with darker paint or panelling, with brass mounting discs top and bottom. The shade is linen, so expect the slight natural variation in texture and tone that comes with a fabric material rather than a manufactured one.

How it works

It takes 2 x E14 bulbs, each rated up to 8W (not supplied), both housed under the single linen shade, for a soft, even spread of light. The fixture measures around 86cm in height and 30cm in width, projecting about 10cm from the wall. As a mains wired fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its height makes it well suited to living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways where a single, taller fitting is wanted in place of two smaller sconces, for example beside a bed or either side of a fireplace. The aged old bronze finish and linen shade suit traditional and transitional interiors.
