This Bowery bath bracket sets a rounded glass globe on a compact steel arm, a simple, symmetrical shape meant to be fitted either side of a bathroom mirror. It shares its design with the wider Bowery range of bath and vanity fixtures, all built around the same idea of pairing metal hardware with a diffusing shade.

The arm and backplate are finished in polished nickel, a cool, reflective tone that suits contemporary bathrooms built around chrome fittings, marble or pale stone. The globe is plain glass, giving an even, shadow free spread of light rather than a harsh point source.

How it works

It takes a single E27 (type B) bulb rated up to 8W (not supplied), housed inside the glass globe for soft, even illumination suited to mirror and grooming tasks. It measures around 32cm in height and 15cm in width, projecting about 18cm from the wall. As a mains wired fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Bowery is designed as a bath and vanity fixture, most commonly fitted in a pair either side of a mirror, though it also suits a dressing room or hallway. This fitting is rated IP20, so it's built for indoor use in dry to occasionally damp conditions rather than direct exposure to water, and its position relative to a bath, shower or basin needs to respect UK bathroom zoning rules.
