A substantial glass panel designed for a striking light effect
Bourne is built around a thick glass panel, etched with a concave indentation on the side facing the wall or ceiling and a clear convex mound on the front, mounted directly to a backplate. The result is a fitting with real physical presence, where the glass itself does the work of shaping and diffusing the light.
Polished nickel finish
The backplate is finished in polished nickel, a cool, reflective tone that lets the thick glass panel read as the main event, catching and bouncing the integrated light within it.
How it works
Bourne uses a 12W integrated LED rated at 400 lumens with a warm 3000K colour temperature and a 90 CRI rating, so colours read accurately under it, and it's Triac dimmable where paired with a compatible dimmer switch. It measures around 27cm in height and width, projecting about 9cm from its mounting surface, and can be installed as a wall light or a flush ceiling fitting in a lower room. As a mains wired fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician.
Where it works best
Its bold, sculptural glass suits living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways where a light is meant to be noticed rather than sit quietly in the background, for example as a statement either side of a bed or along a feature wall, or as a flush ceiling fitting where a pendant would hang too low.
