Birch pairs a tapered, substantial faceted crystal arm with a tall linen shade, a straightforward combination that leans on the contrast between the two materials rather than an elaborate frame. The clean, straight lines keep it feeling classic rather than overly ornate.

The fittings are finished in polished nickel, a cool, reflective tone that pairs well with chrome, glass and lighter colour schemes. The faceted crystal arm catches available light, while the tall linen shade above it softens the glow into a calm, ambient wash.

How it works

Birch takes a single E14 bulb rated up to 60W (not supplied), diffused through the linen shade for an even, warm light. It measures around 37.5cm in height, 12cm in width and projects about 13.3cm from the wall. As a mains wired fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

It suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways where a single accent light is wanted, beside a bed, either side of a mirror, or along a hallway wall. The polished nickel and linen combination works particularly well in cooler, lighter interiors.
