Hudson Valley Bennett 1 Light Pendant - Aged Brass

Bennett is built around a hand blown, octagonal ribbed glass shade that hangs open at the base, leaving the bulb inside fully visible rather than hidden. A simple brass bulb holder at the top keeps the focus on the glass and the warm filament glow beneath it.

The bulb holder and ceiling fittings are finished in aged brass, a warm, softly burnished tone that suits both traditional and more industrial leaning interiors. The glass shade itself is hand blown, so slight variations in the ribbing and thickness are normal rather than a flaw.

How it works

Bennett takes a single E27 bulb rated up to 40W (not supplied), ideally a decorative filament style bulb given how exposed it sits within the glass. It measures around 32.4cm in height and 13.3cm in width, with a minimum drop of about 43cm and a maximum drop of around 180cm, so the hanging height can be adjusted to suit the ceiling and the table or surface below. As a mains wired fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

It suits living rooms, dining rooms, hallways and staircases where a single, characterful pendant is wanted, above a dining table, in a stairwell, or grouped in multiples along a run of ceiling. The exposed glass and bulb work particularly well where a slightly industrial or vintage note is wanted alongside warmer brass tones.
