A 16 light sputnik style chandelier in aged brass, designed to make a statement over a table

Astoria multiplies a single trumpet shaped fitting into a substantial 16 light chandelier, with radiating brass arms tipped in round opal glass globes that throw light both up towards the ceiling and down towards the table below. It reads as an uncluttered, architectural piece rather than a traditional ornate chandelier.

The radiating arms and central disc are finished in aged brass, a warm, softly burnished tone that suits both traditional and more contemporary dining spaces, paired here with round opal glass globes at the end of each arm that keep the overall silhouette light rather than heavy.

How it works

Astoria takes 16 G9 bulbs rated up to 5W each (not supplied), spaced evenly around the radiating arms for broad, even coverage rather than a single central glow. It measures around 34cm in height and 68.6cm in diameter, with a minimum drop of about 57cm and a maximum drop of around 171cm, so it can be hung to suit ceiling heights from standard to double height. As a mains wired fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its scale and symmetry suit dining rooms, living rooms and generous hallways, typically centred above a dining table, kitchen island or staircase void where a confident, uncluttered ceiling fixture is wanted. The aged brass finish works equally well in a traditional room built around warm metals or a more pared back contemporary space.
